United Nations Associations of Australia presents 'Affordable and sustainable energy – are these mutually exclusive?'
Tuesday 20 March 2018, 06:00pm - 07:30pm

In 2015, the international community agreed to 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as a "universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity".
In 2018, the United Nations Association of Australia (Victorian division) is running a year of events to discuss the goals in a local context.
Two of these events will be delivered at the library, with the first on Tuesday 20th March, from 6-7:30pm.

The event will be a Q and A panel discussion: Affordable and sustainable energy – are these mutually exclusive?
Speakers from VCOSS, Pollinate and the Victorian Government will lead this discussion about how we embrace new, sustainable energy technology while ensuring everyone in the community can afford to pay their bills.

Tickets for llibrary members are $15 (including a glass of wine). Non-members are $25. Tickets can be booked at
