Ultrafox return for a concert of french style jazz. Featuring the guitars and vocals of Peter Baylor, Sam O\u2019Halloran on guitar, Jon Hunt on Clarinet, and Howard Cairns on Double bass. Ultrafox was formed by guitarist Peter Baylor over fifteen years ago and has built a growing reputation of one of the finest swing bands around seeking their inspiration from the famous \u2018manouche swing\u2019 of The Hot club of France featuring Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelly of pre-war Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their music is characterised by the muscular hard driving swing of gypsy style acoustic guitars laced with lyrical yet fiery solos. Hot swinging jazz, tender lyrical ballads, French melodies, gypsy waltzes and original compositions make up the band\u2019s extensive repertoire. Ultrafox create an atmosphere of elegant swing and exuberant, dynamic dance tempo jazz. They have recorded three albums and continue to tour and appear at festivals throughout Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
