The Melbourne Athenaeum Library will be closed on Monday March 10 for the Labour Day public holiday.
The library will be open regular hours on Saturday March 8 and Tuesday March 11.
Join artist, author and Athenaeum member Leigh Hobbs for a special storytime as we celebrate 30 years of one of his most popular characters, ‘Old Tom’.
On 9th April we will officially unveil Leigh’s generous gift to the Ath’s 185th birthday – a picture of Old Tom – and hear Leigh speak about his writing. Librarian Katy will read Old Tom and library members are invited to bring along their children and grandchildren.
The event will be held on Wednesday 9 April from 11am. This event is free for members and guests but bookings are essential and can be made by emailing library@melbourneathenaeum.org.au or calling (03) 9650 3100.
