The Melbourne Athenaeum Library will be closed on Friday September 25 for the public holiday.

The library will be open regular hours on Thursday September 24 and Saturday September 26.

Talk: Introduction to Haiku

They celebrate the ordinary and invite us to see the world with fresh eyes.

Explore the spirit and craft of Haiku with examples and discussion, in this presentation from Rob Scott and the Melbourne Fringe Myrtles Haiku Group. Rob Scott is an author and poet. In 2015 he received a Masters of Research from Victoria University, with a dissertation titled The History of Australian Haiku and the Emergence of a Local Accent.

His haiku have been published widely and he is the current vice-president of the Australian Haiku Society and convenor of the Fringe Myrtles Haiku Group in Melbourne.
