Music: Ash Davies

A couple of years ago musician Ash Davies assembled a band to do a concert at the library, playing a selection of instrumental music from previous albums and recordings.

It went so well that the band (dubbed the True Adventurers) ended up doing some gigs in Brunswick but then, as Ash tells it, “we all got busy, I got crook and it slowly came to a halt”.

“Given the constraints of keeping a permanent lineup together I have realised that the True Adventurers are a fluid and floating combo, not just one band of permanent individuals but a band for a moment in time,” says Ash.

For their upcoming concert in the library there is a new True Adventurers combination joining Ash - Jeb Cardwell on guitar, Rick Plant on bass and Adrian Whitehead on piano - and they will play a set of instrumentals and a few songs.

“I have played with these guys on and off over the years and am really looking forward to joining up together for this performance,” says Ash.
