The Melbourne Athenaeum enriches Melbourne’s cultural and educational life by fostering public engagement with the arts and culture, and supporting creativity.
A Management Committee of volunteers is responsible for the organisation’s governance, and every member joining the Melbourne Athenaeum becomes a custodian of a rich part of the city’s living history.
Our Patron is Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, Governor of Victoria.
A dedicated group of volunteers forms our Committee of Management, bringing expertise from numerous industries to their roles.
The Melbourne Athenaeum is indebted to its volunteers who provide invaluable assistance and make our organisation a special place to visit:
Perry Anderson, Lea Beranek, Sam Booth, Heather Cook, Rhonda Crandle, Norma Gates, Kimberley Hughes, Lynne Johnston, Pat Miller, Susan Munro, Dallas Semmens, Diane Therese, Elizabeth van Herk
